The Eddie Lucio Scholarship Fund, Inc. is a fund that grants $500.00 scholarships to Cameron, Willacy, Kleberg, Kenedy, and Hidalgo County high school Graduates or GED Graduates planning to enroll in a state funded institution of higher learning in Cameron, Kleberg or Hidalgo County. Applicants must have cleared all admission requirements, registered for at least nine hours and must be American citizens. They must not receive any other scholarships. The high schools are notified on the availability of scholarships and the students are selected from recommendations made by high school counselors. The counselors submit three male and three female applicants per school and a boy and a girl will be chosen by the scholarship fund board members.
